About Us
This year Astrum Wine Cellars is celebrating its twelfth anniversary in the wine trade. Our catalogue has reached a degree of stability with a great selection of wines and spirits. It is now better balanced than ever before, both in terms of prices and represented producing areas.
We continue to expand our scope by including wine producing regions outside Italy. We particularly look at areas within Central Europe which, throughout the times, have been influential on the wines of Northern Italy and in many instances share its culture,
gastronomy and sometimes even the language. As a result some outstanding producers are now available in the UK market:
Verus from Slovenia, Weingut Pfaffl and Hans Tchida from Austria, Rebholz from Germany and Weninger and Tornai from Hungary.
On the Italian front five new additions will compliment our selection. These include the unsurpassed Terra di Lavoro from Galardi, the classic Montalcino wines produced by the historic Fanti winery, the wonderfully made Ciro’ from Santa Venere, the renowned Groppello and Lugana from Selva Capuzza and, last but not least an incredibly enjoyable Lambrusco from Tenuta Pederzana.
